I did, but not the model, as I was struggling to work it out, it was just something familiar to an old Opel that I was struggling to think where from....

Opal Diplomat is a good shout....and probably the Opal I was trying to think of, but drawing a blank.

I don't think so. The mystery car bumper reaches the wheelarch and I think you'd be able to see the filler cap.

Too small for an Audi 100. Look at the size compared to the Mk4 Cortina next to it.

I thought B2 Audi 80 – if you Google that you'll see one one exactly the colour you refer too. It fits, but I have a question mark over the C-pillar thickness.

The car in the photo has a window in the C pillar. A Granada doesn't.

Its rear door has a quarter light though. However, the rear bumper on the red car is shorter than the Granada one so no cigar.

Except that the C pillar is wrong. The car in the photo has a window in the C pillar.

No way ! The crease is half way between the bottom of the window line and the top of the rear wheel arch.
