Splitting hairs but wasn't the RZ sanctioned by Zagato not Alfa, so who is right, you or Dinkel?

Hi Albert! You missed a great run today - along the WWI front line around Ieper.

Took the Spider and the GTV - as usual we kept swapping around so everyone got a drive.

Parking up in Ieper for a drink stop.

Pieter & Els in the Spider at the lunch stop.

First dry day in ages. Took the scenic route home and stopped to pick blackberries. (Lut is now making jam).

Unfortunately I always forget to take pictures, so I can't post a lot of the good bits. frown

Don't know - they were on it when I bought it. The spare is the traditional S4 "pepperpot", but I prefer these.

Will take a look and post a close-up photo tomorrow smile

P.S. Pieter should get the credit for the shiny alloys - he spent most of yesterday afternoon cleaning them!

My cars are more (ab)used than cossetted, the wheels aren't normally that shiny!

Good to see you had fun. Drive 'em like they are meant to be ... it's the best thing for a car.

I just took 'last RWD Alfa' at face value, i.e. a car produced, marketed, sold, supported by Alfa Romeo as an Alfa Romeo. smile If you go down the route of 'last RWD car designed, engineered, styled, built by Alfa Romeo', then I don't know where you'd end up...

Anyway, not to detract from the subject of the thread - these are glorious cars, and look to be a credit to their owners. smile

Looks about right, with the RZ being built (although largely unsold wink ) until 1994.

Wheels are ACT -

A bit of googling led me (via the splendidly-named wheel wes webite) to Ronal.

Quoting from their website (which I hope is allowed) gave me mixed feelings -

"We are RONAL GROUP, we are a leading manufacturer of light alloy wheels smile and shower enclosures. frown"

This cheered me up -

"All the high-end cars of renowned manufacturers like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche equip cars with SPEEDLINE wheels."

(Photo also shows that Pieter missed a bit!)

Update: Just failed the Keuring (Belgian MOT) on a £4 suspension bush!

It's OK - I've ordered new parts from Alfaholics - went for upgraded race/fast road kit (also ordered a performance suspension kit for the GTV smile).

It'll be here on Thursday. Playtime!!

Edit: May have inadvertently spent more than the £4 bush. Basically asked them to send me what they thought would be best!

Duetto!

1968 1300.

Perfect shutlines ...

Lurking inbetween the big cats.

Start of the Gijs Van Lennep Legend rally - every one minute a car lifts off and often with a great soundbyte. The overhead cam Nord was no exception.

Alfa Romeo Spider Coda Tronca Iniezione - USA import.

Plates show no info but I guess this is a 2000.

Nice one. The S4 is such a great all round car. Any problems?

It's had a few hydraulic issues due to lack of use & the clutch pivot arm needed welding in France last year.

I also did this which led to the full re-spray frown

Needed a new wheel, wing & nose cone together with the alloy splash panel but thankfully, inner wing, chassis & structure completely unaffected.
