It might be something like a monteverdi conversion. Hard to tell under all that green!

The rear doors drop straight which suggests it’s a factory 4 door. Never seen the body kit before though.

Here's another shot of it about 10 years ago:

No fuel filler flap, exposed hinges, small instrument binnacle, door locks in the door panel not the handle suggest that it is an '82/'83 car

There'll be some rust, but has to be worth a look.

Anybody own a mosswood green classic and can post some pictures of it’s hue?
Is it a shade of brown or green?
Thanks for any help

It’s more brown, the green shows in the sun.

It’s a lovely colour. Whether for any logical reason or not I always think it was popular in the US but not here?

Mosswood was an LSE only colour I think. Might explain its scarcity.

I’ve never seen mosswood green in the flesh and pictures via google don’t seem to show it very well. In my head I’m thinking it’s a shade of green with a bronze tint but some pictures simply show it as dark brown.
I’m looking for a colour that is different but classic for my 77 xjc. Not the usual dark grey /silver or dark metallic blue.
Any ideas or help is much appreciated to find a possible colour biggrin

Lovely cars. My favourite combos are BRG and biscuit interior and silver with blood red interior. This probably stems from my childhood when my folks had both.

The coupe seems to love really terrible 70s colours though. The lilac and pale blue looked terrible on the standard 4 door but somehow looked superbly cad/spivish on the coupe.

For good late 70s colours I’d look at the Aston’s of the day rather than Rangies. Aston owners back then did like to announce their white collar criminality through the medium of colour.

currently my coupe is navy blue and still wearing the original vinyl roof which I like and not having to worry about bird poop staining the roof paintwork.
I’m looking for a different colour but still wearing the vinyl roof. A bit of a matching outfit so to speak smile

just heard that my 94LSE has passed its MOT...
the horrendous racket on using the fan turned out to be stones rather than car about to explode, the exhaust was fixable and nothing else has fallen off in the last year...

current big project is the new engine build - we have taken a 4.6 from a P38 and it has been stripped down and is in the process of being tweaked / rebuilt... aiming for c. 300bhp but lots of low down torque for a wafty engine

so that is one year of ownership and the car is in better shape now than one year ago...
as a rolling restoration it is onwards and upwards! biggrin

There may be an obvious answer to this but when the car got up to temperature, the needle on the gauge stopped reading. I’ve bought a thermostat so will change that tomorrow, should I try anything else?
Loving ownership so far but keen to get the niggles sorted so I can make the most of it.

Does anyone know how much similarity there is between an overfinch 580s engine and an e39 M5?
Both are 5 litre bored M62 (S62 double vanos for the M5) engines with about 400bhp and I'm led to believe the main OF part on the RR is the crank. I've just seen something that suggests its an M5 crank. This may make a difference to parts etc.
Wiki doesn't mention the OF but then its wiki so may not https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M62
Thanks
