How unusual is a light/mint green K or L reg model?
There’s on that’s in my town and hasn’t moved in a few years, parked up on the driveway.
Wouldn’t mind owning it in a few years.
70s K or 90s k?There’s on that’s in my town and hasn’t moved in a few years, parked up on the driveway.

In the 70s there were 6 colours, one of which was green.
Masai Red, Davos White, Sahara Dust, Bahama Gold, Lincoln Green and the blue I can never recall the name of.
In the 90s there were a vast array of shades of every colour. I don't immediately recall a mint green but there may well have been one.

There were several green colours and I don't recall a mint one either. The only BL colour that comes to mind was called something like Opaline green, but that mainly 80s IIRC.

I think the smaller/lower number is 47A40P968G. A 47A40P... number was TVR Chimaera 3.9, although listed as 9.8:1 cr.I think the larger font number is 47A0.... is listed as a Morgan +8 3.9 9.35:1 cr engine. Make of that info whatever you want!
I can't guarantee that my list is 100% accurate, but that's what it says

That's the one. Thanks. For some reason I can never remember it. 'Tuscan' is so obvious as well. There were several green colours and I don't recall a mint one either. The only BL colour that comes to mind was called something like Opaline green, but that mainly 80s IIRC.
I'm wondering if I vaguely recall a 90s RR colour that was similar to the TVR ocean haze? By the early 90s they did have quite a vast range of greens on offer. Clearly not everyone had the strength of character to choose Epsom Green.

I suppose anything was possible if it relates to a late '80s-onwards Classic after they started moving it 'upmarket' and, of course, numerous coachbuilders were offering enhancements (although that term is debatable in some cases)
.
I don't recall the Defender heritage light green being listed but that doesn't always mean not available for a small consideration, although it wouldn't have been my choice.
It might help if the original poster could post a photo of the colour in question, otherwise it's guesswork.

Agreed, not green and likely Aegean. The picture's blurred but it looks to have the covered fuel cap but I can't see whether it's the lower or higher version, so '87 or later?
Door mirrors are where the quarter lights used to be so definitely post C/D reg '85?. if it is Aegean Blue then I don't think that was an option until the next slight change to the final hard dash interior which was 88/89 E/F reg. Such a shame that website never came back. A serious loss of base knowledge.
I wonder if any of it could be salvaged via 'wayback' or similar?
