For reference, I still have a UK address so the argument is pertinent. Is a Lynx, built by Lynx at their factory, a "kit car"? I don't think it is but I shall phone the relevant department to verify. And then I'll agree or reject the replies above.

Sure.....you can declare it and just hope that at each yearly renewal the DVLA system will let you 'tax' it, and at some point it won't say at renewal time........prove it.
If you can't it will be BIVA etc., or become expensive yard art!!!!
Maybe. They don't take that attitude in other areas, so I don't see why they would do it here.

I've never had to prove I'm doing what I said on a SORN declaration, for example.
