Love those ETC Jaguars - a definition of 'Rolling Thunder'. BMW got Alpina to help sort out the oil surge so they would have some decent opposition to compete against. Then just as the dry sump engine was accepted, Leyland pulled the plug. If they had hung in for a bit longer they would have started to return results. I saw one of the cars at a hillclimb at Doune some years ago - it was like having an oil tanker in a fish pond!

For those who thought/still think it was a manual, the cars slight roll-back @ 1:40 says auto gearbox to Me.

The ETC cars were definitely manual; the Steed car, and all the other Broadspeed replicas, were auto (although a few might have been converted later). For those who thought/still think it was a manual, the cars slight roll-back @ 1:40 says auto gearbox to Me.
What a shame re Cheshire Classics folding. I inspected a CSL that they had for sale a while back. for a client. The staff there were nice people and great to deal with.
As for the XJ12 winning in ETC, yes, i was a huge fan of these back in the day, but it needed a very special car, to be able to match, let alone beat the much lighter, superbly developed CSLs. Plus of course BMW also had some of the best drivers then available.

I'd guess that if they have some outside company updating the site, they may well not wish to incur the cost of making changes, though it's a bit strange that there's nothing on their Facebook page either. I'm not sure on the rules on exactly where they have to declare that they are in administration, if indeed they are. I know someone who worked there, but apparently he'd left some time ago.

At least one of their cars still being advertised for sale, albeit with a slight drop in the asking price - The Series 3 Espada is still up for grabs under the company name on carandclassic.com.droopsnoot said:

And if the business is in administration and everyone sent home, who would be updating Facebook and any internet advertising, I wonder...?http://www.bm-advisory.com/bm-advisory-facilitates...

Jaguar needed reliability, when it was on-song it was uncatchable. As for the XJ12 winning in ETC, yes, i was a huge fan of these back in the day, but it needed a very special car, to be able to match, let alone beat the much lighter, superbly developed CSLs. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/16252/lot/336/ , includes mention of setting a new lap record from a standing start at the Nurburgring ETC round.

That confirms they were in administration. I have certainly seen examples where the administrator has updated the online presence to reflect the changed status of the organisation.http://www.bm-advisory.com/bm-advisory-facilitates...
Does anyone know where I maybe able to source a set of the deep dished Kent alloy wheels that were fitted to Steeds car or someone that could make up a replica set ?
Alternatively a set of wheels that were fitted to the race car or suggestions of a wheel that would look ok on a Coupe fitted with a Broadspeed body kit.
Any suggestions or info would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dave
