It was actually a Mk1 Big Wing in Modena, reg was OKO***M.
Probably got a photo of it somewhere......seem to recall it was fitted with BBS type multi spoke rims when it first appeared?(this would have been around mid 80's)
Aye thats the one...very well remembered smile I've found 4 pics of the car from back then at the AVO Nationals S/Hall, loved that place.

Stumbled across a little local garage / dealer in Scotland at the weekend with what looked like one of those sitting for sale.

Or, at least, it was that colour and had those arches on it...
Good find there chap...Think we need to know more smile If you get a chance grab a pic if you're passing that way again won't you wink

Found it... well this is from 2007 not aware of who has it now ?
Nice one, well found biggrin I could be wrong but the last time I saw a pic online of the car was a shot of the front tyre showing the width from the front or something like that, scratchchin think that was it...tyre was certainly large thats for sure. Was a few years back now and most likely an OSF post wink

It's going great thanks! smile

They are great to drive even today. Apart from the visuals and the sounds, it feels modern to drive!

I used to own a Stardust RS2, WGY 199M 30 years ago.

Thanks for the photo as I meant to take one today, I saw the Modena RS2000 there
and thought of this thread. It looks so much better in Modena than the Cortina Mk3 my Dad had back in the day (LUX609P, but I should imagine it is long gone now).

Oliver.

Possibly the place to ask....

My car though not run and settled properly I guess has 2" blocks at the rear but it's still not sitting low enough...any ideas?

Join one of the groups on FB, probably the busiest place for Mk1 and 2 Escort chat!

It's strange that PH's so quiet on them IMO!

Rear springs can be de-cambered ie flattened to lower the back end. Got to watch for the diff contacting the floor though.

Anything except blocks. Put any decent power in it & blocks mean the springs get twisted up really quick, so no grip etc
