Another mystery car
Discussion
So I tried a rear 3/4 angle of the car - as with everything I do it's unfinished but I'll come back to it once I learn to draw panel gaps and anything else that's a bit off.
Until then I'll wait for borrani72 to solve the mystery, the cross section drawings are incredible; I'd love to learn how to do that.

Wow! can't believe how long this thread has been going on for. Like everyone else though it bumbles in the back of your brain doesn't it?
I showed the picture to a "old boy" of 80yrs old who had a garage in East London for many years, he's more of a petrolhead than me and that's saying something! his take on it was that it's a Ford Special "there were loads of them at that time Mike"
My expectation was that a picture would surface showing it at Brands Hatch or Crystal Palace, given that, one presumes, the builder was an enthusiast.
Came across a few pics on FB of the Deep Sanderson built by Williams and Pritchard, and obviously noticed the windscreen.
Williams and Pritchard were based in Edmonton which, circumstantially, would place the mystery car in the right area and for early detectives, I did post that I read about five bodyshells left at Hitchin railway station just up the road.
So, I am aware that my post doesn't add to the conversation per se, more agreeing with others and offering signposts.

The problem with the Williams & Pritchard angle is that on the W&P site listing the cars they worked on, there is no mention of anything resembling it. Edmonton is London I’ll grant you, but a fair way from Oxford St.
It’s just as likely to be a Surrey-based builder as a north London one.

thanks it was fun to make
here’s the full res if the others aren’t.

i’ll do another one soon, it’s quite possible the mystery will never be cracked with hard evidence but i like seeing interpretations, theories and discussion on it. it’s a genuinely good looking car, i’m a bit obsessed with it and plan to make a 1:64 scale model of it too.

Interesting detail on the billboards etc. Is that a cameo of you by the dome?

I received this on another web page that I use. It seems my previous posts on here from an hour ago have been removed. Hopefully this will remain now that details of the writer have been removed. Comments please.
Just to let followers of this thread know. A chap with a name starting with S has again found me elsewhere and is threatening all sorts. Edited by threespires on Saturday 17th July 13:47
