That looks like it's going to need a lot of cash and work to get it back on the road, or is it being bought to part out (not being up with prices for these)£7,000
£8,000
Although the MOT Check site brings it back as being registered in April 1986, it's a pre-facelift version and probably closer in age to the "A" plate it carries (ie '83). Perhaps the seller's blurb is true - one owned by a foreign embassy with an overseas registration, then allocated an age appropriate "A"
plate when UK registered in '86. It has an AMG inscription in the speedo but a godawful cheapo barry rear spoiler which our ambassador friend must have transferred from his mk 1 Nova.
I'd love a period correct SEC but this one? Barge and pole...

...Only problem: You guys drive on the wrong side of the road!
That guy is towing it all the way to Vt? Will he get there in time to vote?...Only problem: You guys drive on the wrong side of the road!
And we do in fact drive on the correct side, it’s just that not everybody received the memo.
Your climate is far more friendly to British Steel’s finest than the home turf, and some of your local legislatures very kind to neglected autos if what I’ve seen on previous visits is anything to go by. Not quite North African levels of neglect but pretty alarming cosmetically.

The ad also says it is armored, which must blunt the performance a little.
No way. The SEC has frameless doors which would make it the least sensible car to bulletproof. This is the bulletproof glass of King Hussein's W126 saloon to level B4 which I think is "entry level" protection for cars - even so the car weights 4 tons!!AlecT said:
I spotted this Porsche 944 sitting for forlournley behind a garage in Heywood near Bury the other day when dropping off a tyre to be repaired
Looks like it has been there for quite a while
Another sad picture Looks like it has been there for quite a while
Always thought the 944 is one of the best looking Porsches. Prefer it to the 911.
