A week or two ago I spotted an old Audi convertible rotting away in Mill Hill Blackburn, any way walking by again today on the same site I spied this once wonderful Alfa GTV, it is a V6 24v

Looks like one of the limited edition "Marathon" Beetles produced mid-1972, if so it will have the Marathon medallion on the dash and different wheels.

'Patch' I agree with, but 'welded'?
Nah, I'd say 99.9% sure that top is all GRP.

I didn’t expect to see these in the middle of Orkney

Scimitar must be one of the most commonly spotted abandoned classics.

I remember this one being here back in the 80s. It was finally removed last February.

Got talking to the owner of this Rover. Seems it was owned by his father who passed away - then he drove it for a while but parked it up at the start of covid/lockdown. You just don’t see these anymore - not even at weekend shows. I think I saw one at the NEC on one of the owner’s club stands a few years ago but apart from that …

Vitesse as well …

MoT expired in 2013.

It's been abandoned since 1955 apparently.

Thanks, I’ve never seen that film before - strewth what a driver Tony pond was talk about balls of steel round there (I’ve only thought of him driving the Rover SD1 and TR7 V8) but fair play to that car too!
