I feel you pain or rather puddle of sweat, my first car was a Dolomite Sprint...

My dolomite was the same, I think they all got very hot, very quickly when you slowed down. Fitting a sunroof allowed some of the heat out !

Not sure they could all be called classics, but the Amazon looked in reasonable condition - lasted better than more modern ones

No, it’s an old ‘unit’ that’s recently started up
It’s on edge of Holyhead - I’ll stop next time I pass and find out more

I had to do that with and old E30 when the viscous fan broke.
