Sad looking Crappi. Incorrect grill and 2.8 wheels on what must be a 1.6 (single exhaust)

Moss on the window rubbers and never seen this move

What a sad end.... (looks like the rear 3/4 window is out)

good photos, the Capri looks other then bad choice of wheels and gril etc, stil in a pretty good state, body wise, what a waste if they keep it like that outside.

Has road fund license until the first of May, don’t know if an ‘81 car needs an MOT these days, so living on borrowed time? It looks pretty solid from a distance with the wheels straight out of the Ford RS accessories catalogue. Needs centre caps, the correct grill and a boot spoiler and that would look fine and dandy!

1.6 according to records. A proper messed about with old Capri.

ah... now you mentioning such, now I remember those, it was indeed a option, with those caps they would look way better, maybe those got nicked after standing for a while and that flat tire.

I think this is a 5 series BMW. In a woods local to me, the garage has collapsed since I last looked a couple of years ago.

There are two others BMW’s, one silver, one white, an old tractor and what I think is an XJ6, but that is so far gone only the engine remains.

White one looks like an E12 with the front hinged bonnet - fancy pants one as well with rear head rests and a sunroof

I see loads of these on people’s drives, in varying states of (dis)repair … do these still command the daft prices they once did?

I don't think the bay window versions (like the one in the picture) have commanded silly prices. The earlier split window versions are the ones that get big money. Chap I know has one insured for £80k.

Depends on your definition of "silly prices" but they are getting there. 30 - 40 grand for a spanking examples and the occasional outlier above that

This one was under £14k last year.

The T1 Split Screen Samba 23-window models however make ridiculous prices.

This has been put to one side at work, so I imagine it's going to get broken for parts.

Or saved? Imagine someone would want the V12?

That said, last taxed 1999 ... maybe not ...

Doubt it will get saved, but the fact it hasn't been shredded means someone has put it in a safe place for a reason.

I drove past it quickly stopped and took the snap, going above and beyond for PH.

It couldn’t have gone more wrong. frown
