Yes that's what I read, didn't know he did Historics as well as more modern rallying.

From memory, that car was the subject of a Restoring classics episode of Bangers and cash. Once it was finished Dave Mathewson competed in an historic rally as part of the show before the car was auctioned off.

Surely there is absolutely nothing salvagable from those, except VIN plates, and the cost to build a new one around a genuine VIN would be prohibitive/insane.

Would imagine even the VIN plate has rotted away
£600 in Wrexham, can't imagine a queue.

Something really weird going on with the number plate of the stretch limo. A Volvo 960 on an '04' plate shouldn't be possible, given production ceased almost ten years prior to 2004. A car checker lists the date of manufacture as 1996, which makes sense for a Volvo 960.

Could it have been re-registered upon conversion to limousine? Odd if so, as it implies the conversion was done on an eight-year-old car that wouldn't have been worth much at the time.

Assuming the spolier has not been retro-fitted, the darker coloured one is a Vitesse (2.7 Honda), in Pearlescent Cherry Red, so 1989 or 1990.

You must know your 827 Vitesse’s well.

No where near the build quality of the Honda Legend couple (donor car) and built in Japan , I witnessed some shocking build quality of Honda models built by Rover back in the day

Rust in the seams was a common problem in 827 Vitesse’s. Proper junk cars. I only had mine for 10 months.
