This 540 is just starting to deteriorate.

Was parked up, MOT ran out, then sorned, then no insurance.

I've left a couple of notes but not had any replies, will start knocking on doors when I get a chance.

Before I get shot down for this not being a proper classic (it was me that posted THE BX GTI!) it has been parked up for some time (maybe 4 years +) and as TVR have been in the news recently, I figured a neglected TVR may be of interest to some of you...

I’d say a Sagaris is a classic in that it’s very notable and rare and different. Either way, definitely a desirable car

Makes me sad to see one deteriorating frown

That’s a T350T (targa) not a sagaris - looks like nice one too...don’t recognise the wheels? Doesn’t look like it’s been left for 4 years plus?

One of TVR’s finest I’d say so well worth saving!

It has moved locations once during this time. I suppose plastic cars don't suffer obvious signs of deteriation when compared to metal cars. Think the fella who owns it has had it from new.

Worth the thick end of £40k these days too. Seen much tattier late model TVR's than that.

Now I see it on the PC, I can see you're right.

My phone screen is a little small

Either 1301 or 1501 - they were visually near identical. They were well made, well equipped cars back in the day with a number of quite funky features - wind-down tailgate window, spare wheel cover that had legs and doubled as a picnic table etc.

It's actually a 1300 / 1500 and the foglights in the grille suggest it's the facelift, hence a 1301 or 1501. Not sure how you tell them apart though.

Ha! This is a still from some promotional film - look at the fit on the pax side fog light of what must be a brand new car!

Front wings from the Simca 1301/1501 were also used on the Talbot Matra Rancho & from the A pillar back was GRP.

I know they are not strictly left to die or rotting, as i'm sure they are valuable parts resource, but this google street view of a breakers yard in Lancashire has some interesting sights.

https://goo.gl/maps/VNPMy6vxyhB2

a whole row of TVR cerberas, a Ferrari 400i and 456, Lotus Esprit of all series, and a F40 nose! fascinating.
