Let's not overlook the Mercedes SL300 parked next to it.

MOT expired two years ago on just over 60,000 miles.

It is indeed. Well observed smile
Crying bloody shame that is. I gather the old boy just does it to piss the neighbours off......

Horrendous pic alert !

Some old ste in a yard, goodness knows what is there.

Can just see the roof of a '73 Mercedes 350 SL which has a desirable plate - 3 letters followed buy a number 1 - maybe a £50k plate ?

Field in Jersey. Few bargey Fords, an XR4 and in the background, a Rolls Shadow. The plates on some of the cars are worth 60k (!) so obviously someone with a few quid who isn’t fussed.

Ah ok so a restoration is on the cards. Back to road spec I hope as opposed to the rally look.

Pottering through Leigh-on-Sea on my wayto a pint the other day I saw this seemingly abandoned articulated tracked thingie (excuse the Google Earth image):

As it appears on that website it would seem to have been there for a while. Is it a Bandvagn?

I hope I'm wrong but it looks like the rear window has gone through. If so they'll have fun replacing that with the correct type.

This is depressing! I'd gladly take this off their hands and sort it out! It would be a hell of a job but this car should be easy on the eye.

I think you’re probably right. The car is no longer at two roads motor works, it is up at Pontrhydygroes, Hafod. Both garages appear to be in the same regional drift championships, so I’d guess there’s been a trade. It had an MOT advisory in 2007 which read WHOLE OF UNDERSIDE OF VEHICLE IS HEAVILY CORRODED, but it continued to be MOT’d until 4 years ago. Hopefully the garage in Pontrhydygroes has recently acquired it with a view to restoring it (or one of their customers has bought it). There’s no mention of it on their Facebook pages or instagram account though.

More interesting is the Silver Shadow with the funky paint in the background. It's an early car with blue leather. I think chippendale dash. I'd love to have a go at restoring it. I think he is the chap that runs Clay Clay on Bembridge High Street.

That Jag was not there when I drove past about 18 months ago now ... so someone bought it/scrapped it etc.

Aston that has seen better days and sitting in the open alongside A229 at Knox Bridge, Kent between Staplehurst and Sissinghurst. It sits in front of a single house called Thrift Cottage biggrin

I was passing thru, but if anyone knows more ...
On the Aston section:

"It sold at auction 6 years ago (September 07, 2013):
https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/aston-martin/...

Was never MOT'd again (Last was 13 August 2013)."
This kind of thing really winds me up. Why bother buying a car at auction to let it rot in your driveway for six years.........
The buyer probably gave up on it after several attempts at sitting in the left hand seat and reaching the steering wheel and pedals:

You'd think Bonham's would get their facts right - such as which side of the car the steering wheel is on! rolleyes
That's not Bonhams website, it's classicdriver.com website - they regulalry leave wrong stuff in

According to Bonhams, it was withdrawn so was never sold

Reading between the lines, maybe the owner discovered a serious (read expensive!) fault and had to withdraw it (?)

Could do with having some serious TLC
