Couple of Granadas seemingly dumped. The green one was bodily in very good nick from a quick glance,
Although legally prior to Jan 1980 they can have them fitted, used to be 1975.
I had an F plated Escort with black and silver plates and they were original.

The other one is proper top spec - alloys, rear headrests, sunroof and the spot lamps....Ghia X?

I have a question about Saabs, in Sweden in particular.
In 67 Sweden switched from driving on the left to the right but before then (and after) all the cars are LHD.
Does that mean they drove LHD cars on the "proper side" left?
I assume they started with RHD then sold LHD a long time in advance (which meant people driving LHD on the left for a while) but there would still be RHD driving on the right after the switch. In 67 Sweden switched from driving on the left to the right but before then (and after) all the cars are LHD.

There isn't an easy way to do it. Buses would have been worse, passengers getting out into the traffic!
He couldn’t tell me why they used to drive on the left, but bizarrely mentioned Sweden is the only EU country to have kept its (Krona) currency! Random.

According to the Wiki, one reason for Sweden's H-day, for "Högertrafikomläggningen", was that 90% of their cars were Left hand drive, when they still drive on the left!
Also and from that article, much of urban public transport had been by trams, which were scrapped in favour of new, RHD, bus fleets!

............................The E39 had no 'i' badge next to the 528 as well..........
Meaningless - The i badge is separate to the 528 model badge, so it could have been stolen, could have been missed off after some paintwork on the boot lid, or could be missing for any number of reasons. All of the E39's are fuel injected, with or without an i on the boot lid.

LOL at the E39. Those heaps even rust in the desert.
I’ve lived in the Gulf (2000 to 2002) and back then rust on cars was a real problem due to the sea air and I suppose the intense humidity. There were many outlets that provided rust proofing services. The E39 is an excellent car. I had an E36 325i Coupe when I worked there. They were always well specified with every option box ticked.
