It just so happens that I will have the perfect Allegro for sale soon....

With the 10m, I would get my ideal three car garage
Lancia Stratos
Ferrari 288 GTO
Countach, probably a carb one from circa 88 with the big arches.

It seems I would still have at least 6m burning a hole in my pocket, so I would buy (in no particular order, and assuming I can keep my existing cars)

Maserati Cinqueporte ( a special five door quattroporte)

Lancia Fulvia ex works rally car
Lancia integrale ex works rally car
Fulvia HF road car,
Integrale Evo 2 in yellow
A F1 car from the 70s or 80s, ideally a flat 12 Ferrari driven by Villeneuve but if that was unavailable a Williams would be nice
Lambo Espada
Alfa 8c
Ferrari 458

I will come back to you if I have any change after buying a big garage, or if I can sell an Allegro and hence boost the budget.....

Never mind the Aston, the star of the auction was the Ex John Surtees BMW 507, that was perfect.

I'd have that Surtees BMW, a McLaren P1, an F50, and some huge shiny Rolls Royce and some change to build a new car-house.
Yes, the ex-Surtees 1 owner BMW 507 looked relatively cheap at just over £3.8M!

I'd spend the rest on as many old Farraris as I could get in the budget - 275 GTB/4, Superfast, Daytona, 288GTO, F40, F50 and even a manual 456GT for any loose change!

I just need to get the £10M first. rolleyes

1) I’d buy back “my” much-missed Lotus Elan S2 (NPB 580D).
2) I’d completely restore my Triumph 2.5PI
3) I’d trade my Jensen Interceptor Mk1 for a mint Mk2 6.3.

I am sure there would be a few othe things (including something vintage), but those would be my priorities. When I had had those three together it covered all the bases: 2-seat sports car, 2+2 GT, 4-seat saloon, four-pot on Webers, fuel-infected straight six, stupidly large Yank V8.
Happy days.

I'd have a Fiat 8v Supersonic and a Toyota 2000GT as my big ticket items, plus a 'modern' F40. Then I could squander the remaining 7m on all sorts of rusty junk.

TBH I'm struggling to spend half of the money!

To start with, I'll keep my P38 Range Rover and BMW 2002 Cabriolet but I'll splash out on a quality resto for the latter.

Now start shopping:- MG Metro 1300, Bentley T2, Aston V8 Series 4, Mercedes W108 convertible - The one off Bridget Jones might be nice.
Lancia Fulvia HF, Triumph TR6, Citroen DS23 Safari, Dolomite Sprint, Grinnall Scorpion. Escort Mk 1 Mexico and finally a MK1 Transit.

MG Magnette ZA and an Alvis TD21 would be my 'first reserves.' What about a Ferrari? Well, OK then but I want one with the engine in the front please.

Surely you've not forgotten the Triumph Italia 2000 - just a beautiful design.
