If you have a butcher that deals with game nearby they should have rabbit.

If you go to Google Maps and put "Game Dealer" into the search it should show somewhere nearby that will sell you fresh (or frozen) rabbit.

all the butchers round here have it - depending on where you are why don't you get into airgun shooting ? a decent air rifle, permissions from land owners and a bit of common sense/marksmanship and you will have a continuing fresh meatsource only limited by your shooting ability.

Just as a word of warning, if you're at all into animal welfare, make sure you buy wild rabbit. A lot of farmed rabbit is kept in the sort of conditions that battery chickens used to be kept in before that was legislated against.

all game is expensive now if you don't buy it from the source...(even though loads its binned still...) as its become fashionable idiots pay through the nose for it without going direct to a game dealer or country butcher...look at the prices of pheasats and partridges in waitrose for example...ridiculous! i even saw wood pigeon there for about 4 quid recently...some morons are clearly willing to pay that...for wood pigeon ffs!!!

all the above said id be a bit wary of rabbit at the mo, what with the suspected (but still unknown) myxomatosis morph into Hares, who knows whats lurking in the background in the wild stock.

Quite apart from the fact that the link says "product unavailable", it's also bloody expensive at £20 per kg for meat which doesn't specifically state it's wild, which probably means it's farmed.

Have a little dig around on google, and there's lots of people selling diced wild rabbit at around £15 per kg.

Rabbit is fantastic to eat.

If your buying make sure it comes with a head.
