No picture as we were bowling along the Autobahn, but on my 9 country Euro jaunt in September I spent a very pleasant few kilometres leapfrogging a beautifully preserved, or possibly restored BMW 503
Very much like this one, although it was a darker, non-metallic blue, but with the same colour interior. Happily doing 130+kmh and looking fabulous!

a lovely machine indeed, almost Italian lines, its not really small.Very much like this one, although it was a darker, non-metallic blue, but with the same colour interior. Happily doing 130+kmh and looking fabulous!

I guess thats why I like the Fiat 1600S Osca even more for proportions, also look like the door lines, no straight cut/corner, and the little bulge behind the door, what a lovely design.

I love yellow lights. They just make stuff look cooler, despite them not actually being period correct for an E36.
EU headlights were harmonised between 1992-1993, so that E36 M3 misses out.
If I had a French car of the period I’d have yellow bulbs.

I love the Fiat 1600S Osca - anything Pininfarina from that era in fact - currently lusting after 404 coupes....I guess thats why I like the Fiat 1600S Osca even more for proportions, also look like the door lines, no straight cut/corner, and the little bulge behind the door, what a lovely design.

Manta Mirage. Chevvy small block.
Not a McLaren.
Thanks, I did wonder, still sounded pretty good. Looks like it was built back in 1975, so certainly not new.Not a McLaren.
Found this which gives a nice view of the interior https://www.instagram.com/p/DJzUp36A7iP/

I lost half an hour this morning Googling the Leyland National.
Apparently the roof pod contained the heating and ventilation system. Except where it was absent, which occurred when the buses featured under seat heating.
There were also 3 wheelbases available, which I never knew. And Michelotti did design it, according to Wikipedia.

All I know is that she's a '59 Alvis with a 3L engine. She sounded lovely driving past, and parked up just up the road so I was able to get some pictures. Didn't get a chance to talk with the owner sadly.

I found some lenses for those very rear lights in the shed earlier. Lucas L548. How's that for a coincidence?Slightly off topic.
That's true.

ETA and the DB4GT.
I'll probably be adding to the list all day.

I was working in a 5-star hotel in Sydney 1991-93 when something very similar to that appeared on the driveway while its occupants had lunch. It was a stunning thing back then, and still is. It belonged to a stock broker who later did time for insider trading.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
