wow, another model car I did not spot with those rear lights, I guess there are at least 7 to 10 car models (also different brands) using those rear lights, ala de Tomaso Pantera (bad memorie here) and many many other cars I've seen the last few years with such.

Those bigger rear lights were specifically on the top 2000 model. The standard 1750 had smaller, simpler units1750

That yellow Datsun roadster on the left is fantastic!
They were never imported to the UK when new which was a shame. Also had better suspension, bigger brakes and a bit lager wheels, a sort Restomod you could say.

Fairlady was given to it after the head of Datsun saw the film of the same name thinking as it was popular it would make a good name for the car

I've seen one at a UK show on UK plates, Datsun Fairlady. The rear quarter resembled an MGB which caught my attention, it had been imported by an American airman and when he returned a local Datsun dealer bought it from him and displayed it in the showroom. IIRC? The then owner bought it from them after many refusals and displayed it occasionally when he found a show on somewhere he wanted to visit.

Knew I had a pic somewhere. 2016 Fairlady was given to it after the head of Datsun saw the film of the same name thinking as it was popular it would make a good name for the car

I want to T-Cut and polish every other panel on that, for a patchwork effect. Did it on a similarly-afflicted SAAB 900 I was lent as a courtesy car once, but I just did the driver's side and left the passenger side alone. Bonnet, roof and boot were half / half.Edited by Turbobanana on Wednesday 5th November 13:26
