My favourite of that sequence of Bristols before they acquired the weird grille.

1929 Bentley 4½ Litre. Originally an H J Mulliner Weymann Saloon. Rebuilt with a replica VandenPlas Le Mans body many years ago.

Ideally also furry dice, which although a cliché were a standard aftermarket fitment on these cars, Escorts and Capris.

But I agree re the plates.

Just saw a Ferrari 275GYB from the sixties in Wimbledon backstreets. Was wearing an F suffix plate.

Sounded epic. Sadly no pic. But like this:

wavey

Disgraced itself at the end of the day by having a flat battery - I blame the nearly 90 minutes it took me to get that spot from J5 of the M42 on the way in. A very nice man with leads gave me a jump, and commented it had the same engine as his Dodge Coronet. He also had a Roadrunner, and when my car stared first turn with the jump leads just nodded and said "Mopar". I didn't get your name but if you're here, many thanks!

100 amp single-wire alternator is an easy upgrade, no more staring at the gauge when the lights/fans/wipers are on in traffic.
