Is it just pulling away? The early CX, GS and the SM I like a lot but not so much the DS which I still think is an ugly bugger. Especially the GS, a b
d to work on until you overcame your fear but a marvellous thing to drive. I remember them as new cars and thinking that this was the future. The ride was/is tremendous, astonishing brakes and steering. Drivers used to modern stuff like MINIS, Corsets, Festers etc etc would be surprised at how good it still is. Sadly next to none were saved or preserved. Stick Legs said:
Very cool and as noted above with the TVR spots above, what was it doing out & about on the wettest day of the year!
To be honest, my Fulvia was a little grimy at the recent PH Sunday Service at Silverstone. I'd got back from Mallorca the day before, so had no chance to clean it properly. I was tempted to leave it out in the rain yesterday and leather it off, but decided against. Which was wise, as it never stopped raining!.Edited by Stick Legs on Saturday 15th November 09:01

I remember Car Magazine testing that back in the day and the quote was something like "at full chat you can here the fuel draining out like flood water down a storm drain". Outdragged a 348 Ferrari in a period Car & Driver test

Pic via Google of I think a 1955 Hotchkiss Anjou that I saw parked in the same place in Cheltenham this weekend:

Early pm today in & around Burford: black 911 (993) Carrera 4S, blue Jag XJ-S, grey Karmann Ghia, white Corvette C6 & a black 928.
Also in Burford, not classic, but saw a Lexus LM - first one of those I've seen.

Not just an XJ-S with a body kit but a proper factory XJR-s. Cream steering wheel & round gear knob present & correct.
This was in the window between these cars being made by TWR in Kidlington & Jaguar starting their Jaguar-Sport brand.

I wonder what they wrote about the Dodge RAM SRT 10 :-)
Have I got my steroidal pick up truck road test quotes mixed up? I just thought that if they wrote that about the Cyclone what might they have said about the RAM SRT 10?
I did fancy a single cab manual SRT 10 just for the bent (shifter)

Thought I'd been caught out by someone who'd committed the last 30 years of Car Magazine articles to memory, which let's face it, in this forum is entirely possible! Oh and Don Logan scares me - i didn't know what to think!
