2 for 1 at my local Sainsbury's today....

The XJS seems to be sporting what looks like an odd set of wheels, maybe of a later Jaguar.
I reckon they could be the XJR wheels from an X300/8 era although they would be ginormous on an XJ-S

They look like they may be 'Revolver' alloy wheels from the XK8.

Good shout too - either way, they'd be mahoosive on an XJS as well!

On reflection, I think the lack of, coupled with the broader, spokes, points to a ‘Revolution’ wheel.

Just a tad more restrained.

Grenoble, last Tuesday evening- quietly sitting in the town centre car park. Looked lovely.

When I was working at a fancy hotel in Edinburgh in 93/94 a chap turned up in a metallic green one of those, with just 130 (a hundred and thirty) miles on the clock. It was a lovely car. I hit the rev limiter in 1st on the way to the carpark a mile or so away.
Hitting the rev limiter in someone else's car, particularly one that isn't run in, is not the act of an enthusiast or even somebody who should be entrusted with other people's property.

As an aside, how cool are yellow headlights! Was so exciting to to see cars with the old silver on black French plates and yellow headlights back in the day (although an M3 was launched after the Eurocrats banned them)

Snapped from the rear seat of a taxi whilst zipping along towards the bottom of the A3, hence the complete lack of framing - and focusing. biggrin

Hmmm. And people wonder why they shouldn't entrust their cars (or other property, for that matter ) to valet-type people. Not very impressive, if it's true. 0f course, some do respect other people's property but unless you know the individual well, how would you know.

Bottom of the A3? My pictures were taken in a car park not too far away, near Gunwharf Quay in Portsmouth, back in July.

No pictures im afraid as I was going for a drive trying to get my baby to sleep!

Yesterday afternoon i counted no less than 8 morris minors, travellers and vans on the outskirts of Northampton all decked out in christmas attire, tinsel, lights, wreaths etc.

Was really lovely to see, especially as the weather was absolutely disgusting.

Really cheered me up.

Good point. Thought the lack of front grill was an age/arduous use thing but the headlights on closer inspection are modern. Maybe.....
