As a teenager in the 1980s I never really took much notice of the Audi 100/200.

Then in about 1991, at an event at Castle Combe, the late Richard Burns took me for a few laps in a 200 Quattro.
That left quite an impression on me, I was very impressed with both he and the car...

Nice though this is, I do prefer the earlier rear end …

Not many of these still on the road and even less in what looks to be unrestored condition …

Couple of bargetastic 80s spots today. More appropriate here than the left to rot thread I think.

Pair of French fancies:

These have both recently arrived in the country, they may have been previously but they're definitely not left to die at the moment. Although admittedly I think one might be a spares car for the other.
No, definitely not left to rot. Don't know the owner but fairly certain the chap has varied automotive interests and the wealth to play. I wondered if they're both spares cars.

Spotted this Mk1 Golf Cabriolet “Etienne Aigner” yesterday. According to the below (German) website one of about 800 delivered in Europe with special paint, wheel colour and interior. Looked very well kept.

I know you know your Audi's Rob so I'd not challenge that that is a 100 - the extra reflectors though were a feature only on the 200 as standard but people did fit them aftermarket on the 100.

The "Quattro" script picked out in the rear window heater element was always a geek spot back in the day!
Didn't the 100 CS and Sport have full width reflectors too?
The Sport did, but it was all colour coded red. I also think the "Sport" was a UK only special edition to shift a few units before the new model came in

The 200 had the amber and red trim like the car in Rob's pic

Top nerd ing yu two !!
I passed the car again today when going to retrieve my truly dreadful MPV hire car that I was unfortunately (we don’t have what you ordered) upgraded to.

Looking at the front and the interior that was quite basic cloth as opposed to leather or velour, I’m 99% sure this is an Audi 100 as opposed to 200.

Not in any way a classic, but I wanted to share. An unholy alliance between a Hilux and a Focus.

I literally thought that had fairly severe accident damage there for a few seconds.

The 200 can be identified by rounded rear wheel arches as opposed to the flat ones on a 100 although it does have five stud wheels and most 100 pics have four stud.

The front of the WhyLux looks like Mondeo lights to me. Small screen, so happy to be told I’m incorrect.

I don't think we got the supercharged version in the UK, so definitely rare here.

I wasn't sure we did either, and I don't recall actually seeing one in the metal before.
