loving the bug splattered front end.... he must've got all of 13MPG...
I once passengered in a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 H.O. (6.6 litre, high output) which had been tweaked a bit to roughly 500bhp.

When I asked the owner of that what mileage he got from it he casually replied "About 6 or 7 mpg". biggrin
My tweaked 1969 427 Camaro gets under 10. Worth it.
Yes it is, I did both tanks in a little over 17 minutes once... I've dined out on that a few times....

I took my old ‘65 347 stroker fastback down to Brands Hatch from Peterborough and got 12mpg which I thought was fair. £120 or so back then from memory …

I learned to drive in a Herald 12/50, and Dad had one before upgrading to an oversteer- tastic Mk 1 Vitesse and then a more house trained Mk 2 . Which I wrote off , obvs

My first car in London in the early nineties was PMH111E an olive green 12/50 with a blue passenger door. Great thing to tootle about in London with a fantastic turning circle and full length sunroof.

Soon swapped for a white mk 2 Vitesse convertible - happy days!

Blimey, doesn't get much rarer than that - via How Many Left you appear to have seen the solo road registered Solo. Top work.

I think that's the same Benz that I saw in Shoreditch in late Dec '24 (previously posed on here):

I'd imagine it is. Used all the time and often seen in Wanstead.

In for a new clutch.
