Lovely,

The S2 E-Type is not as pretty as the S1, but my gosh they are so much prettier than most things, and that one looks lovely.

This may lead to some on here getting excited…

Really not my cup of lentils, but if it makes others happy, I’m glad to have bought some joy biggrin

Very nice!
had a 1275GT Clubman about 30years ago, sold it for around £500 back then frown
My sister s boyfriend in the mid 70s had one in Blaze with a very dark blue interior. To me as a 15yo it was bloody quick!
A friend and I bought one for £30 in about 1990. He had a farm so we drove it around the farm aged about 14. We then started taking liberties and driving it into town on a saturday night to pick up chicks. They were happy days!

With no idea what it was, I approached the car to discover the owner was inside. Not only that, he was happy to chat.
It's a 1955 Maserati Barchetta homage based on a Z3. Homage is my word, not his. The company who converted the Z3 - whose name I've forgotten - built nine, I think he said.
The company now use the Z4 in their current range of conversions, because the Z3 is getting scarce.
It's a Z300S Barchetta by Tribute Automotive from Dorset. It is the 4th of 8 (or 9).

The "Tridente" badges on the front and sides say "Omagio A" and "Ispirata Da".

Decent Z3s are getting expensive and the Z4 is a better car although some people say not as good to drive.

I like that.

However I prefer this one that used to go to a local show. The reason is in the boot badge.

As soon as I saw that "Maserati" pic ,I went off to Images to see what a real one should look like .

That white thing is more like a Jaguar E type from the front .

Not a fan of it ......3/10

Sorry for lowering the tone. This was the only classic car I could get a picture of on my run this afternoon.

There were a couple of mint MGB nearby, but they were behind hedges on driveways, so wouldn't wouldn't make for good pictures.

Yup.

It was for sale a while ago, but he was asking something crazy like $35k for it so I didn’t bother.

Just now in the Village...

And Also for entertainment value, last night I was in my NA MX5, parked outside the local.
Someone I know turned up in his convertible red Fez 458.
10 minutes later a man cross the road to look over my MX5, returning 5 minutes later to take photos.

Ferrari was ignored smile

A lot of people mistake it for a Jag. The wide angle of the pic has distorted that. However, Tribute started with the front of their D-Type/SS body and "massaged" it into that shape. The Maserati 300S is narrower than a Z3.
