Spotted a couple this afternoon. Firstly this little BMW in Bexley (and also a maple brown XJ SIII parked up near the A2), and a 944 S2 leaving the A2 at the M25

I saw a red Rover P6 being "trailered" towards Exeter this afternoon. It appeared to have the bonnet vent of the USA models and, possibly, US number plates.

You put it in inverted commas, suggesting that it wasn't actually being trailered. I wss asking what that signified.

Why? Evidently you know why 'trailered' was in inverted commas. I don't. I also dont know what WSS means

How on earth would the Bond have got the M6 gig?
Bonds were built in association with Standard Triumph it says on that Equipe ad, so M6, going past Coventry, where their factory was etc ... (I am presuming) ...

In that pic I’m not sure what bit it was that was being opened. Those Bonds were both registered in Nottingham though.

I don't know what WSS is either. I put the word in quotation marks because, although it was on a trailer, there is no verb "to trailer" and I don't like it used. However, I understand it's a popular term on here. It's like sports commentators saying things like "she's hoping to medal in this event". brrrrr

WSS - Web Side Story - a tale of love, loss, grammar, serial re-quoting, interesting cars, misunderstandings and trailers. Vaguely Shakespearean.

What is the WSS?
The WebSocket protocol specification defines ws (WebSocket) and wss (WebSocket Secure) as two new uniform resource identifier (URI) schemes that are used for unencrypted and encrypted connections, respectively.

There you are...

Ok, thank you. I think trailer is probably verb-able. smile The inverted commas made it look like it wasn't actually on a trailer, and I was puzzled.

All good now. beer

Cheers!

This afternoon's cool classic was an orange LHD Alfa Montreal near Newton Abbot. I love seeing rare and interesting stuff out and about.

Also posted in the "what did you see on your daily walk thread", we see this lovely 70s-tastic Mercedes around quite often. Not as exotic as some recent posts but still a nice old thing.
Love a W123.

Have another.

Spotted a while back on the Isle Of Purbeck, between Arne and Corfe Castle, while I was out for a bike ride.

Took the Shelby for a blast round the Peak District last weekend and pulled into a layby for a coffee when this stunner pulled in. A very early Mk3 3.0S, which was originally a Ford press car. Had a chat with the owner, apparantly it spent over 20 years in a police compound! Made my day seeing it!

Okay...

It's a lovely example, no doubt. I spotted a Capri when I rode out to sneak a peak at the ex-Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340s parked up on Bournemouth Airport. Not in such great nick, but still nice to see one out and about getting used...

...scruffy, and with a lot of rot. Some around the bottom of the windscreen was "repaired" with electrical insulation tape.

Apologies if some aren't "cool" or particularly "classic", but I've just dumped all the pictures from my phone to my laptop and sifted these out to share...

Not even a car, ffs! winkgetmecoat Parked up near The Lookout cafe overlooking Weymouth Bay.

Land Rover (Series III ?) in Dodge (?) clothing. Spotted somewhere in the New Forest.

Imported Russian market Lada. Front was a proper whitewall, rear tyre was (badly) painted to match. So hot that day that the cleat on the bottom of my cycling shoe started to sink into the melting road surface. Lytchett Matravers, Dorset.

Marchwood, on Southampton Water. Parked near the old RN Armaments Depot. I love these little cars.

Never seen one of these before - 1966 Skoda Octavia. Cooler than an Ice Cream Sundae! I liked the top/bottom hinged split rear door too.
