Yes, I'd go with A70 Hereford - an A40 Somerset on steroids! The badges on the front wings were different IIRC, and it was a bit bigger all round.
I came home from the Maternity Ward in my Dad's A40 Somerset that he sold in 1967 so it's the first car I was ever in!
Stamford Car Show last Sunday … the usual classic suspects, but a few I thought I should show. 1985 E30 323i with 15k from new on the clock. MINT.
1956 Austin A35 pickup. Had a nice half-hour chat with the owner. One of 477 made. Interesting purchase tax story hastened its demise. This was unrestored.
Unrestored 1966 Vitesse. And the 1500HL Dolly behind it had under 20k on it from new. Was that Russet Brown?

Thanks LotusOmega375D. The only Series 2 I have seen in the UK until now was the gold one above. The one yesterday was dark red and registered 1 GRO or GFO. Yesterday, I thought the second car was probably the one you photographed at Broadway, which I have seen before, but it was actually the one in my post.
This leads me to wonder how many Grifos are up and running in the UK?

1959 Osca Fiat 1500, delectable.

I missed out on one a couple of years back. I was in Afghanistan and bidding blind on a car in Italy. I bottled it at 12 grand and it went to a dealer in NL. A couple of weeks later he had it up at €40,000.

This is view is why they were sometimes called "The Land Shark"It's good to see that the 928 has now been rehabilitated in the minds of petrol heads, for too long derided as "not a 911". Perhaps the advent of such monstrosities as the Cayenne and Panamera has helped? Also, I do prefer the S2 to the S4 the rear light clusters just fitted the shape better.
