Could be I guess, though the chap didn’t mention Pininfarina as far as I can remember.

ETA Googling has just turned up this one by Pininfarina

Being picky, that's a Farina body, not Pininfarina. Pinin was Battista Farina's nickname and only became the name of the company at some point in the 60s I think. You can find essentially the same body on an early Bristol or an Alfa 6C as well.

The lack of traffic back then seems almost unbelievable now. My morning drive in to work was pure misery today.

A gathering in Malton marketplace (N Yorks) in the thirties. The formal parking layout suggests is might be some sort of special event. Guess we’ll never know... smile

And we say cars all look the same these days hehe
The Ford Model Y (?) on the right looks positively modern in comparison to the others, what with its outrageously non-conformist radiator shell shape.

I wonder in which decade a picture taken from the same angle of the same everyday scene would show the greatest diversity in car shape and design - my guess would be the 60s or 70s.

There was an earlier picture of a car park in Leicester taken in the 60s; everything from old Ford Pops to Austin 1100s but probably covering a period of manufacture of no more than 20 years. The difference in styles was remarkable. Nobody would look twice at a twenty year old car today.

I wonder what the life expectancy was of a chequered flag Marshall:

Looks like he's already lost his right trouser-leg in your pic!

Being serious, I can't think of any being hit, but someone might know?

They didn't, in my watching days, rarely get that close to the cars as the excited one in the film above.
Then again, people can get carried away when they get excited. So, perhaps literally, who knows?
hehe

I'm leaving this one here, at the end of the day, for me - to remind me in the future what a st day it's been.
Been to the funeral of my wife's younger sis (on the right) - this old pic reminds me when sis-in-law was a Ginetta nut (like I've always been).
Not just a pretty face. She could even strip down the Stromberg carbs and put them back running better than ever.
F. cancer!!

By coincidence, many years ago my brother sold his G15 to a Ginetta enthusiast girl.
