My Dad in, I think, a Zephyr ? I had but now lost photos of him in a similar shape Zodiac with sun visor and chrome spot lamps.
I think that's actually a Zodiac, or as it was called in Mk1 days, a Zephyr Zodiac.I wait to be corrected but I think that's what it says on the bonnet. Visors and spots were options.

I wasn't sure about the 2 tone.
Certainly the Mk2 consul came in 2tone. Mine was pink and white, Dad's was grey and black.
Consul is a different front end, shorter with rectangular outline grille, and two-tone was standard paint on the Zody, single tone on the Zephyr Six (although two-tone would have been an option on the Zephyr I think prior to the Zody coming out in '53)Certainly the Mk2 consul came in 2tone. Mine was pink and white, Dad's was grey and black.
My Mk1 Z-car knowledge from 40-odd years ago is now very dim and distant in my aging memory cells though.....

Two-tone paint standard on Zodiac, not a listed option on the Zephyr.

Blimey, THAT is proper in depth knowledge.
At least I was right about the visor.

Capri Ghia for me please. Cheers mate.
(I know they were awful but they're still one of the best looking things Ford ever did).
