Is there any service schedule for the MY08 4.3 Vantage that states the diff oil should be changed?

I can't locate anything obvious on the net. Some older DB9s seem to have this as a serviceable item at 40k miles. But for the V8 I'm struggling to find info.

I'm not a big believer in "Filled for life" items so I'm looking to get the diff oil changed. However, calls to local AM dealers have hit a wall in-so-much as it's not on any service schedule . . . Which worries me a little when it comes to filling the diff with the correct oil etc.

Have folks had this done at main dealers? What was the cost?

Cheers

Part of the Service (gearbox oil change) every four years or 40k miles.

Cheers. Does the diff make use of the same type of fluid as the gearbox when that's done at 40k?

Clearly I need to re-read my owners manual and it's service schedule doh!

Vantage has a 'transaxle' which combines gearbox and differential into one box.

Part of my 60K km service was changing the transaxle oil, the dealer told me it's different from the gearbox oil.

Total cost for the major service is around 2000 US dollars or equivalent in Saudi Riyals. Haven't got a choice, one dealer in the country

I'm afraid your dealer is a nitwit. A transaxle is a combination of gearbox and differential gear, and has a common oil in the Aston application.

Yes, it's all in the same casing.

Its to be done at 40k.

Like others have said, the gearbox oil and transaxle oil is all in the same change.

I had this done to my 4.3 manual at my local Aston dealership as I was experiencing difficult gear changes when the car was cold. The dealership wasn't sure if it had been done before and the car was over 40k miles.
It only cost me £200 and it has made a huge difference to gear changes.

Well worth doing.
