Sadly not much to report this week, I am still awaiting tank to be completed so just doing silly little jobs really to keep the project rolling forward.
Hopefully better update soon ....

Nice progress, needs a bit of headlight trim to break it up a bit.

Yes they are same spacing as per original but they could do with a more pronounced chrome trim surround maybe, will also look a bit more complete once the chrome strip and centre badge go on.

Fantastic progress thumbup however you may live to regret fitting such cheap wheel bearing kits IME Q Drive (EuroCarParts) boxes wont have a premium brand in the box Koyo, NTN, Timkin, SKF etc , I hope you got lucky however sometimes if they have supply issues they do box better brands

Still waiting for the new fuel tank sadly so not much to report I’m afraid, I lost the centre sunbeam badge on the original car and ordered up a replacement and some spares so fitted one of those ....

Collected the tyres today so thought it would be rude not to try them on for a couple of inspiration photos.

its the nearest I can get to the original car, would love more rim width but more rim equals more wheelarch and if I go any more the car will be wider than it is long :-) lol

Small update -
Cant believe I'm still posting this but due to lockdown and staffing issues I am still waiting for the fuel tank to arrive.

Only positive is that Neil from Slowboy Racing the Subaru specialist has given the engine installation the thumbs up, we have plugged in the magic box and all appears to be running as it should, I now need to get the car on its wheels to be able to drive it and put the engine under load, the motor appears to be all standard but Neil estimates with a map it should make circa 280bhp

Just need the fuel tank now
