Really interesting, if nothing else forward on to 25 minutes and enjoy a Daytona being given the beans

Riding through London in 1972:

I wonder if that could be a Jensen FF seen at the 0.49 mark?. Has that more squarer looking FF front.

A period Traffic Police documentary from 1979. Greater Manchester Police on motorway duties. Check out the E-Type crash at about 13.40 in. Yikes!

Classic wrecks at the ring, 1970. https://www.facebook.com/eudirijoumalenda/videos/2...
Sorry, facebook link, doesn't seem to be on Youtube...unless someone can find it!
Beetles seem to be rather prone to be upside down, but maybe that's just because a lot of them were there.

Spot the blue Aston DBS (I think) at the 0.26 mark.

Which lovely was she then? I was there and drooled over the Sibilo and Panther 6 rather than the girls but then I was only 10.Motorshows were so exciting back then.

Rallye Monte Carlo historique 2020
Some cars taking a very sharp left hand hairpin in some style.
Others less so!
Thanks for the link, we did the 2020 Monte Classique in a 1954 Daimler. Here at the Banbury control with somebody well known. ☺Rallye Monte Carlo historique 2020

I think 1978 was the last time one of the major Italian styling houses visited the British show. As a lad brought up on the wild and exotic dream cars in Top Trumps packs, and unlikely to ever get to Geneva/Turin/Frankfurt, this was a big disappointment.

Here’s an 18 minute short film from 1966 called “One Summer in Somerset”. It features an attractive blond lady in a light blue Spitfire MK2 in and around the Weston Super Mare area showing an Aussie backpacker around. Some great period footage and spot the other cars of the era.
