I had a discount code from Motor Sport. Except it is nothing of the sort - it gets you a discount on the day but makes no difference to the advance tickets most of us buy . Anyway , I am going , to warm myself up for the forthcoming race/ speed event season - cars to see , people to catch up with .
Is the parking all grass? If so it'll be slippy mud by now I bet ? I will take the 4wd I think

I've seen similar for the NEC Classic show, it's a marketing analysis code rather than a discount code. Bit over priced this year to be honest, used to be able to get tickets for 20 quid, now its 23 and 28 on the day which is ridiculously over priced really.
I guess I will give it a miss, these shows seem to get more and more expensive over the years. with less and less content, this show had its peak for the first few years but has steadily dribbled away after that. every few years a new promoter comes in, tried things and it still manages to keep going, the bric a brac hall used to be enormous, hardly anything now.
And it isn't the venue, as the off road bike show there is very cheap. Or was before it moved.

I bought tickets for Saturday with it, no mention of it only being usable on Friday and it offered tickets for all three days. Normally if the code only applies on certain days, it only shows the special price for those days. For example NEC classic show codes don't usually apply to the Friday, so if you put one in, it shows the standard prices for that day, and the special ones for the days they apply.
I'm guessing it's the code that people who have display stands give to customers and friends for a bit of discount. Only weird thing was that I was expecting to have to print my own tickets, but it appears that they're coming in the post - I don't recall ignoring a "print at home" option.

I wondered about that, but often these codes are given to exhibitors / stall holders to provide to their customers and friends/family to get a discounted ticket. We used to get a code for friends/family discount at the Pageant of Power, for example. I'm hoping that's the case here - ask me again on Sunday.
