Classic car stash to be auctioned
Discussion
218 lots of cars collected over the years
some without keys or documents?
I wonder what the legal side is on no documents, how do they prove they are theirs?

A very weird collection of stuff: a load of junk, and one pristine, restored and very valuable Escort RS1600 in amongst it all.
Unusual green velour carpeting on the interior of the MkII Escort.

Sounds like fun!

Some interesting stuff there (and valuable to the old Ford fans!). When I used to travel about the country for my last job I'd often wonder what could be stashed away in all the barns and outbuildings I'd pass out in the middle of nowhere, I'll bet there are loads more places like this out there.
There's a lot of crap there
I'm also pretty sure that these are not Rover Viteste [sic] wheels:

You'd see them on the normal 3500 or 3500 Vanden Plas, but I've never seen a Viteste with them

The RS1600 looks quite good - very good panel gaps and sill line. Wrong wheels though - should be slotted, and it's got the wrong anti roll bar which is pushing the front wheels back 2 inches.
It won't make 85 grand, nearer to 50 ish. It would need a very good look over but it's a lovely thing.

It's not a 5dr, it's just a substantial rust hole.
Quite a lot of unusual 5dr cars listed, such as Morris Minor (Lot 252) and Mercedes 190E (253) and there's also the much sought-after 3dr Ford Mk1 Cortina (255)I wonder what lot 264 really is, as not many Austins had knock-on wire wheels.
Nothing old enough to interest me, of course, but one has to look . . .
