M1 Helicopters

I’m sure the hive mind of PH will know the answer!

The last couple of weeks heading southbound on the M1,just before junction 12 (or possibly 13) I’ve spotted 3 mid sized helicopters (I think a twin squirrel plus two others) parked up about 100m from the motorway with what looks like a temporary hangar.

anyone know the story?

Well Google maps shows up a company called Helimech on the left just before Jct 13.

Pfft, i got tailed by an Apache last week between J15 and J14



(as i was in my 335d, the poor helicopter obs struggled to keep up............ ;-)

Yes, probably Helimech.

They seem to maintain quite a lot of Eurocopter/Airbus helicopters - nice hangar is very much permanent.

Flew in and out a couple of years ago to look at an EC120. Landing and departing helicopters will pass quite close to the M1, so might give some drivers a bit of a surprise eek
