The yellow one is vanquished. Such a shame.
Here's to 4 years (hopefully) of grandpa Joe. Let's hope America can start the healing. They certainly need to.

Have a feeling that it won’t be long until we see a “ 47th President of the United States, Kamala Harris” thread.

Oh interesting thought! I would not put it past them, but think Pence may be a a straight (but bigoted) man who has hung onto the Devil's shirt-tails, rather than a morally bereft or evil man.

Healing? Media caused the division from day 1 of Trump so they will now hype less and say Biden doing a better job? What will change other than a more polished president who will fake some empathy. He can't have any real impact on anything as the blue wave never materialized.

If Biden truly pushes any of the Progressives policies he will get nowhere and the Dems will be routed in 2 years and may loose the house.

All you are going to get in reality is a bunch of smooth talk and within a few months the Progressives going crazy when the figure out they are not getting their way. Wish we could place bets of whether they will still be rioting in Portland a month from now. People seem to forget BLM started going crazy under Obama and have been hyped up by media to damage Trump. Now Biden has to deal with the problem.

Republican establishment should be pretty happy about the election outcome here.

This thread will probably struggle to reach 1,000 posts in four years - which is fine by me.

Biden 47th
If Pence can absolve Trump (and presumably all his family, entourage etc.) can Biden then unabsolve him?

Healing is by far the biggest thing I hope to see going forwards.

Americans have spent the last 4 years screaming in each others faces and becoming ever more angry and divided, stoked of course by Trump.

Even if Biden manages nothing of note policy-wise, if he can get just Americans to simply start being more civil to each other he will have done a good job.

Same could apply to UK. Media of all kinds are to blame for stoking division for ratings as they now seem to think they choose who runs our countries.

I think you will find that it's the electorate who chose their leaders - despite what looney conspiracy idiots like to think.

We aren't talking about the UK.

And I didn't say 'the media' I specifically said 'Trump' was stoking division.

Let us now see if the US can be calmed somewhat by a change of leadership to someone who isn't vile.

Regardless, it hasn't really been an easy ride for JB, which says a lot about support still out there for Trump.

Will we see a continuation of Obama’s second term or will Biden forge his own path?

Plenty of estimated remaining votes to change the 5587 advantage.

From what I have read and heard, Biden will be better able to navigate his way with the Senate than Obama- he's more likely and more adept at cutting deals with the GOP than Obama was.
