It could have been the Glas of my parents! They lived near Hengelo, the place where that picture was taken. Except for the fact that our Glas was white

UX-90-30 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan

FL-67-20 Humber Super Snipe

00-PN-06 Jaguar 3.4 S

MR-88-84 Glas Isar 700, can not remember ever seeing one, but look at the decorative strip on the side, the same line as for example the first photo of that American car, quite special, apparently a sign of the times at the time

Glas Isar 700 at some car scrapyard, with some other cars around it, some I recognize, others not so

Thanks GT Rene for putting up all of these photos, they are really interesting and this is now my favourite thread on PH thanks to you
Thanks I like it as well, looking through those old pictures and cars etc and what I missed around cars from those days hahah, we did not went often from our neighborhoods/city and around that age I spotted only the more 'cool' cars and sport cars printed in my mind so to speak, so I missed a lot lol.
That WA guy, a small boy back then was interested in so many cars and trucks etc, thats pretty amazing.
I also like what memories it can bring to others by seeing certain cars or trucks and am amazed also by how much some people know about some cars and remembering details etc, so yeah, thats nice.

Rene you are correct in your thinking for the car behind the Glas but daqinggregg was, I'm sure, referring to the car immediately to the right of the Glas, which indeed is a Cortina GT as seen from the badge on the rear flank.
but yeah rear lights etc match .hm, now I wonder even more what car it is right behind that, that car I was thinking of that one without the front light, tried to google with 4 door 70s etc, and triumph etc but no hit yet, though it looks such a simple car? but that rear quarter ? light window part with the rounded top is very difficult to find (for me at least

Grand Prix in Havana 1958: Racing Against the Revolution. Details are a bit thin.

The second race took place in 1958, already on the eve of the regime's collapse. Before it began, partisans managed to abduct the leading driver, world champion Juan Manuel Fangio.

Batista, who dreamed of turning Havana into a second Las Vegas, tried in every way to show foreign investors and tourists that everything was OK in the country and the fun continued. To this end, he organized the Cuban Grand Prix car race in Havana in 1957.

Some sources suggest that these are footage from the 1957 race, but it does not change the essence.

This time a lot of Trucks...

TB-97-53 Mercedes Dolphia

Mercedes German circus truck

Hanomag

Mercedes 200 D, and a lot other cars around it.
I spot a Citroen next to it, and a R4 ans I guess a Opel Manta perhaps? and further away a Citroen 2CV R5 and R4, but what is that behind the 2CV , a bit Datsun 100 A shape?
