TK-45-87 Chevrolet Sedan + FS-26-85 MG 1600 A 1957, hm, I believe we've already seen this one in another set from the WA guy, but hey.
Anyone know the car with the louvres on the wing to the right of the MGA ?
Judging by the shade of the car, the round headlight and the position of it relative to all the other cars around (eg the 504) I’d say it was the same early Charade.

A Granada Coupé behind the Volvo. It's a pity that the chap stood beside it is obscuring the wing line, is it a 2-door saloon or a coupé? - I suspect the latter, based on the wheels etc..
This has been done to death previously on PH. That is a 2-door Coupe, most likely (but not definitively) the "coke-bottle" European variant rather than the more angular UK one. IMO.
Definitely a coupe, but I'd say it's the later, straight-edge variant rather than the Coke bottle - both types were sold on the continent.

The rear side window is flat bottomed, which matches the angular version. A Coke-bottle car's rear side window would have a distinct kink at the bottom to clear that design's fatter haunches.

Yes, there was a 2 door saloon as well as 2 different coupes. And an estate, of course. The UK only got the angular coupe, 4 door saloon and estate.
Thanks; at least I hadn't started imagining things smile

wow, very good, looked those up and there are different variants, some have 6 louvres (edit ah thats than a Cuore...)and that one has 10 or so, both Charade 5 door, very confusing hehe

but yeah, this model although RHD example, is the same, with door handles and louvres, and ow, also with different gril.

this messsage will delete itself in one week (in my head sadly lol )

Yup, you're right.

Moving on: what's the significance, or even purpose, of the wire fence, I wonder? Maybe the Granada owner is very protective of his new acquisition.

Isn't that a TR4A rather than a TR4? I'm only going by the chrome strips and side mounted lights.

It might be a TR5, it has the 5 bonnet badge (4 and 4A is different, with TRIUMPH lettering). A 5 would also have had a different grille from a 4A but possibly been removed? Also, a 5 would have had a chrome strip under the door which isn't visible, so, it might be a 5 but if not, a 4A.

If it is a 5, std fit was steel wheels with 'Rostyle' trims, also fitted to early TR6s.

Although this is from a different series of photos than those previously posted from another of the WA series from the late 70-tish, I'm seeing many that have already been posted from a different WA series. I try to be mindful of this and haven't posted many of them yet, but my memory is poor, so I'm sure some previously posted ones will pop up every now and then, anyhow, here some more.

those 2 Opels I think I also have seen before, but such a nice picture, so yes a few have been probably posted before if I'm not sure, forgive me biggrin
I still have 6.5 pages to go from this series of 11

Grand Prix in Havana 1958: Racing Against the Revolution. Details are a bit thin.

The second race took place in 1958, already on the eve of the regime's collapse. Before it began, partisans managed to abduct the leading driver, world champion Juan Manuel Fangio.

Batista, who dreamed of turning Havana into a second Las Vegas, tried in every way to show foreign investors and tourists that everything was OK in the country and the fun continued. To this end, he organized the Cuban Grand Prix car race in Havana in 1957.

Some sources suggest that these are footage from the 1957 race, but it does not change the essence.
Just to add to this post, A copy of the programme cover and the inner flap signed by many of the international drivers.

The wire fence? They were everywhere in the seventies and eighties but lots have disappeared recently thanks to snowflake culture. Kids these days will take a fence for almost any reason...
