The (limited) mot history might give a clue as to what you might find.

Not much tbh.

You need to start looking at cars in person.
That car did not need white wall tyres …

Quite right, it didn't, but in the pics it doesn't, I did wonder if its a scam.

+61 is Australia, and being married to one I know that 'overseas' is very Australian terminology so my guess is they gone home...

I was half tempted to actually go to Duxford (45 mins away) to have a proper look at it but events conspired etc … so watched it online.

Looked a nice car in the pics - a few things that raised an eyebrow but nothing that couldn’t be fixed relatively easily.

It’s cars like this one that mean Duke of London will have that silver S1 on their books for a while at that price.

Lovely - if you like the bulk of the Mk X but the price!

How much is original?

Having looked at it in person I thought it did well. Rare thing, though.

Not yet - the T25 is proving harder to shift than I anticipated. Never seems to be that way when I’m buying…

Luke, was it original paint? The write-up never mentioned any real resto work or a respray - difficult to tell from the pics alone.

It looked reasonably original, though I didn't go over it in detail. Looking back at my own photos of it, it looks lovely, but my impression in person was that it was just a bit tired. I would be surprised if it hadn't had any sort of paint or resto work, but whatever it has had looks to be old.

If I hadn’t have bought my classic mini this time last year I’d definitely have been having a look at the XJ12-a lot cheaper than my mini too!!
