Hi austin. It is a 1934 RP standard saloon hence the original smokers hatch rather than sunroof. I acquired the car eventually following the death of my father when I was 13. I restored it over the next few years and used it to learn to drive. I kept it nearly 40 years and finally sold it a few years ago when I finished reduilding my Ruby Tourer, of which there should be a pic in my profile. I do miss it but everything can't be kept forever and someone else will be enjoying it now!

My teeth have been grating for a few days now. That Typhoon image doesn't belong on this thread - it's not a period photo.

Outside my house about 1989, photographed in 1929.
Looks like the Montego was sent back from the future.

Good stuff, we have an RP deluxe, so has a sunroof. Cracking cars, I learnt to drive in it when I was about 12, when my children are tall enough to reach the pedals they will learn in it as well.

Great pics, I would have loved to have you as neighbours. What's the driveay contents look like now, or have you moved house?

Note the ever-rising underseal line that was so typical of Bedford CFs (like my dads camper)

My mum still lives in the house that had the R5:A7 outside. I live in the house with the P5b outside. Current cars as on "my garage" in profile. My next door neighbour got the bug, at one stage I had the TR6, Rover P5 and Austin 7 and he had an Austin 10,Austin A40 Sports,Savage cortina estate and merc 200T. Was an interesting time deciding which car to take to the pub!

I think that photo nicely shows just why the Muira was the first car to carry the Supercar tag when you compare it to general cars of the day in the background...and this shot is 1973, some 7 years after it was first shown to the public...!!

And 51 years later, its still one of the greatest (if not the) most iconic car designs of all time....automotive art at its finest.

You guys might be able to help me then smile

I recognise some of the cars in the background , Can you help to fill in the gaps.

The White Ford is a Granada , the Maroon car is an Austin Princess.

The green car is a Vauxhall , not sure which one though.

No idea what the Black car on the right is.

I'd also say it was likely to be very early 1980's - given all the cars are 1960's or 1970's cars.
