Sorry, I can't see how that is any sexier than a TR7, just has an F badge on it.
That's a tad unfair. hehe

However, I know which of these two I would take home! No contest.

The Boxer and the 308GTB were the last of the really beautiful Ferraris imo. I recall the crushing let down that was the 348TB.

Kings X, 1970...

I reckon it's later than 1970...

I spy a Daytona Yellow 'big wing' Escort behind the black cab biggrin

I reckon that's an AVO special build Mex or RS16, and probably therefore late 1972 at the earliest smile
I agree. NASCAR driver Kyle Stewart wasnt even born then!

An American car dealer somewhere near Blackpool in 1994. I believe the place has long since gone. Can't recall where this place was exactly. Anyone remember it?.

No, it's the RNHF Sea fury FB.11 TF956, which was lost in 1989 after take-off from Prestwick for an airshow after a hydraulic failure, and the pilot had to abandon the aircraft out to sea.
Was the wreck ever recovered from that?

1968... were these GPO vans all scrapped or did any make into private ownership..?

Looks like a Morris/BMC/Austin LD; a few survive, mostly things like caravanettes as they get easier lives than panel vans or ambulances where the bodywork was mostly GRP.

Yes, I believe the RN recovered the wreck to determine the cause of the failure for BOI.

Going through loads of old photos at the moment, searching pics for a friend's new book. Incredible what I'm finding that I thought was all long and gone.

1965. My Dad had just sold our Austin A40 for a brand spanking new Singer Chamois.

Once I got a driving licence, he decided he wanted a new Austin Maxi. He was going to sell the Chamois back to the local Rootes dealer, but when I heard the measly amount what they offered Dad, I jumped in and bought it off him. biggrin

It soon started to look different when I got hold of it! In fact, you look earlier in this thread and you'll see how different. If he'd known what I was going to do to his beloved Chamois, I don't think I would have got it. hehe

It looks like a Ginetta G12 body.

Bloody hell. You have dangerously exotic neighbours. That's a Peugeot 504 next to the caravan isn't it? They'll be eating salami for tea rather than spam.

Dad's Triumph 2000 in the Peak District in the mid 1960s (I am the smaller of the two sprogs)

Is it sad that I can remember the registration number BVT 305C?

Ah, the era of the duffel coat, and memories of when winters had proper snow thumbup

Look at the size / aspect ratio of the tyres relative to the wheels. Nowadays, I think you'd only see those on big vans (assuming not already fitted with alloys).
