Years ago, a punter near me bought the lime green Miura with twiggy heritage, and seen often round the village when exotica really was exotic.
Lots of images of the car on Google.
DD Classics had it up for sale back in January this year, and there's a short film on youtube of an interview with the owner, she mentioned that while it was being restored it caught fire when another car next to it went up in flames, luckily it wasn't too badly damage and the engine and clam shells were away from the car at the time.

Danderez -thanks for posting those shots of Twiggy with the 2000GT, very nice thumbup

No problem!

Here's another found sort of proving Twiggs couldn't drive, as her buddy hairdresser is about to!

She's in the same get-up as the other photo and that is over here, probably London, def not Tokyo.

As for Muiras. cloud9
If I had a time machine I'd be off back to the 60s once a week!

Great pics.... I think she must have passed her test in late '67, her first Mini was an Almond Green 850 on an F plate and I've seen a photo of her driving it, her next one was a G reg'd Wood & Picket Mini 1000 (non Cooper) and shortly afterwards she took delivery of a brand new Aston DB6.

As promised 8 or so years ago, I have scanned some more of my Great Grandad's slides. This is a small selection from 1961 to 1967

Great photos Crosswise, many thanks for posting them... the two English village scenes in particular are beautiful images. Amazing how formally dressed everyone seemed to be in those days.

Yes, there are loads from there as they went every year with the Lions club I believe. There are all sorts of locations as they travelled around the world over the course of a few years, it would've been quite unusual to travel that far at the time I should imagine.

Lovely batch of pics Crosswise. My favorite is the airport apron one. Handley Page Hermes - A reminder of just how good we were at designing aeroplanes before the Americans hijacked the market.

I'm guessing the location is in Italy, judging by that gorgeous tanker.
