That's not just any W123, that's the top of the range 280E with the chrome strips under the rear lights!

You got the chrome trim on both the 280 and 230 Coupe's and only on the 280E saloon.

Harold Radford works in King Street, Hammersmith in 1968 with the (I think!) one off DeBruyne GS8...

Apols for facebook link but there are too many pics to show and there may be copyright.

Warning - don't look unless you have a lot of time to spare/waste!

And metal bumper ends too - definitely a 280E. I would have been most impressed by that as a kid!

Got any more info on this car?

The only refeence to "De Bruyne" online (apart from some footballer) is a one-off re-hash of the Gordon Keeble (styled by one of the blokes who did Spitting Image I recall) which is definitely not the car pictured.

Looks like something Chris Humberstone would do.

Obviously you got up much earlier than me Loose... I was looking for that colour pic just now but you beat me to it! I've seen another shot taken the same day showing the rear end but can't seem to find it. My Nan used to work in the department store opposite Radford's place in King Street and remembered all sorts of cars going in and coming out of there along with their clientel. The GS8 has the look of a Lancia special to me.

The GK you mentioned was at the NEC a few years ago and looks very good in the flesh.
