Mid 80’s to early 90’s, some are becoming classics, some perhaps not......

16 years old, daily transport...

17yrs, passed driving test, rusty but great fun

18yrs, green one fell apart

Moment of madness, wanted an alfasud sprint but bought this..

Came to my senses, now 20 years young..

21 years young..

23 years young, check out this 13inch steel rims and plastic trims....

25 years young, dream car purchased.....still own it.

I had a string of similar Alfas in the 1980's and 1990's. Started off around 1985 with a 1977 1200Ti VSC522R, then a 4 door 1500 Super in the same green as yours, a white 1300Ti on an S (Series 1), various plastic bumper 3/5 doors and a gaggle of Sprints, one being a 1978 1500 with the rare Mangoletsi twin carb conversion.
The best part was that they were incredibly cheap: in 1995 I got given a red C plate Sprint Green Cloverleaf for free as it needed some welding - that cost me about 150 quid.

I had three 75's; started off with a blue D plate 1.8, then a 1990 H plate 2.0TS and then a 1988 3.0 with the standard 'concertina' bumpers, red with Konis and 5 spoke revolution wheels. It was an F plate and they were the first Alfas I had that were not prone to rampant rot.
The 33's were OK if a bit characterless - they made cheap engine donors for Alfasuds.

Anyone can make 'I know stuff but can't tell you what it is " claim in an effort to look cool and knowledgeable .

on youtube, home movie of Glasgow motorway traffic from 1974, brilliant stuff. Lots of Hillman Hunters and Imps, popular 'local' cars at the time, from Linwood

Indeed - "Where's the book Pete" ? to quote someone knowledgeable smile
I think you'll find he was exonerated. Why do you think he wasn't prosecuted, why you still hear Who songs on the BBC but you don't hear Gary Glitter, Rolf Harris, or Jonathan King, why the Who closed the 2012 Olympics?
Probably pointless asking as you can't alter the mindset of those on here who think they're funny.
I thought he was looking at stuff on the internet rather full paedo stuff like the other names you mention. Hardly exonerated.

Saville wasn't prosecuted either.

Just a handful of Japanese stuff and even less European.

My guess on the camera car is a Landcrab. Love the windscreen sticker reminder of the 'new' continental style road signs.

Not quite though, eh? It is an offence to look at child pronography, to pay for it, even if it is for 'research purposes'. No porn was found downloaded so the police did not proceed with charges.
However, he accepted a caution and was therefore, fingerprinted, photo'ed etc. Oh, and he was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 5 years. Hardly cleared. rolleyes

I'm sure there is a Jimmy Saville/Round-up-the-paedos thread somewhere else, why not try and find it?

That Policeman is probably still alive to this day.
If, however, he had been directing traffic like that 'today' he'd probably be on the front of a bonnet!
Driver's back then were courteous, and more to the point, if a copper indicated or directed you do something back then, you simply did it!

I honestly think most drivers today remain reasonably courteous. Of course there are some total knobs on the road, but in the main motorists coexist with one another pretty well I think. Even in London. Maybe it's just the way I drive angel

1014.......now since restored back to its as it originally left the Slough factory spec. when first registered as NNO 14C.
Bit late to the party but that is chassis 1072, not 1014 which he owned later in life.
