How about a 'period' classics pictures thread

I really do fancy this Buick Riviera but it would be a very tight squeeze to get in and out of my garage, the access to which is also slightly awkward for anything bigger than a classic Mustang...

'63 Riviera's are best avoided, as while first year, the still used the old Dynaflow transmission.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/American-Classic-Car-19...
The '64 Riviera is he one to go for, as outwardly, other than a few minor trim.emblem differences they are the same as the '63, BUT.......the '64 Riv's got the brand new GM Turbo Hydramatic torque convertor auto transmission, which makes them a much nicer car to drive, and much more efficient.
The Dynaflow soaked up a huge amount of power that didn't get to the wheels.

Lovely - for some reason I always wanted a 1965 Parisienne!
There's a rare RHD '67 for sale on ebay… https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1967-Pontiac-Parisienne...Don't really know much about them but I like the look of that... way too large for my garage though.
1960 is, imo, the best year for Cadillac. Like a 1959 but with the excess trimmed off and perfect proportions. I was at a classic car show at Duxford a while back and white Series 62 Coupe was moored up on the grass, couldn't take my eyes off it. Later on, it literally glided past towards the exit, a faint murmur of a 390 c.i V8.
Just stunning machines.
Just stunning machines.

Used to see a white one round our way a few years ago, haven't seen it for a while but it used to take up four spaces in the middle of Sainsburys' car park. Not a minter by any means but it was a glorious thing to behold.Just stunning machines.
There's a '59 for sale in the latest issue of Classic American magazine - a fiver short of £60k...!
It's an ill wind and all that.
Looking for - and failing to find - pics of DB4, 5 and 6 chassis frames outside the factory in Newport Pagnell gathering rust while awaiting bodies, I found this:
