.............. but I was looking at this a minute ago and noticed the Bizzarrini 5300GT Strada parked on the right next to the Mini, behind the geezer with the trippy sports jacket........
A great spot there!

I hadn't heard of them until I saw "GT Racer", the series that was shown on Dave a few years back. Some nice noises on the in-car sequences in that.

That's interesting, as I was recently sent another view of Greatstone, which could have been taken at the same time:

Edited to add: Yes it is. I just found this version.

We had several family holidays there in the late 1960's, including watching dogfights for the filming of "The Battle of Britain", which were flown from Lydd Airport.

Used to go to the Jolly Fisherman sometimes for the 'car cruise' destination during the Rockabilly Rave held at Pontins Camber Sands.

The Greatstone Stores/Beach Fancy Goods has been converted from shops into dwellings downstairs now.

Ruston Mews, Notting Hill 1968...

And c.1973...

Another London Scene, probably late '60s / early '70s, no idea where or what the silver car is on the left...

Very tidy looking Mk2 Mini 850 / 1000 in this London shot...

I have very early memories of Ruston Mews as my parents lived at I think No 5 from shortly after I was born until early 1958. Here is me with my 1st car C1955.
Note the Van Den Plas bodied Talbot 105 in the back ground. I think from the angle of your photo of 1968 the garage door that is open could well be the workshop of Billy Jago who at that time worked on pre-war Talbot's.

Well, well, small world wink

Tottenham Court Road in the early '70s - a Mk1 or possibly Mk2 Mini 'woodie' sans wood with a dodgy looking Clubman fibreglass front end and 'Ed Straker' wheel trims...
