Zandvoort HARC 2010 classic car races

Hi Albert, interesting to see what was 'The Fastest FIA TR4'and also the ex Neil Howe car [ligth blue] back on track together. Chris is in no way connected to the CMS car, entirely down to Pete these days I'm afraid. When we built the car it simply had the best of everything thrown at it.Likewise the Howe car,as said in my e-mail,shared the car with Neil at Dijon, unfortunately it was suffering from the heat and we had to come away without any tinware for our efforts, managed to fight our way backwards from leading the class to finish 4th.Still,it is a really nice car to drive,it should be,the amount of money/my time that was lavished on it.
Excellent shots as usual, little wonder the marshalls were giving you strange looks though!LoL

All being well I'll do the Six Hour again, entry has been in since last September. Should be a lot better performance than last year using a proper head this year. The one I used last year turned out to be a knackered fast road version that I been conned into beleiving [by "A Friend"!!]was the head I had bought from someone I know I can trust.Turns out ,after several conversations with other people I know, this b*****d has been conning people all the while! Be nice if both his hands fell off!!

The High Port heads are getting a little thin on the ground now John.
That is why my last two have been new casting - 1st alloy head and a few years later the 1st iron one. Lots of trick tweeks in there by a top Miglia tuner, you can only really do the old tried and tested stuff on an existing head - more fun when you have a blank casting . Iron one sold to a Belguim guy that spanks most 4 cylinder TRs in the German series now (on some trick twin HS8 and manifold we sold a few years back). Would be fun to race my 4 in what ever race this was (but it would not really be fair)
I'll do the late season Brit festival at Zandvoort again in the next year or two in one of the TR's - Great Track, great atmosphere.
Would be great do do some in depth TR and MGB talks when at Spa6 guys. Show me the gold!
More snaps:
Elite chased by WSM Sprite and Grantura.
Almost on three wheels.
Lovely car this.
The TR Jerry was raving about. Pretty brute thing.
Dutch Pork boys.
Fiberglass 904 GTS: under 700 kgs racer can get up to 260 kmh / 163 mph.
What some consider to be the most complex four-cylinder ever: 225 brake 2 liter 2x2 ohc flat four. And isn't she stunning.

More to come.
