Classics left to die/rotting pics
Discussion
I've been irking to reply to this particular topic, some really interesting finds here. It's weird that the Reliant three-wheeler photo photo seen on here is just like Uncle's which unfortunately has been left in his back garden after he decided not to drive it anymore after something went wrong on it and he couldn't be bothered to repare it; it's never been used since about the mid 90s I think.

Not a great pic, but worked in this street a few times over the years and it hasn't moved.
Flat tyres, faded paint and moss all over the body work.
I'm assuming its genuine, were there ever replicas of these?
There is also an E-Type convertible parked behind it in a similar state.
This car appears to have the petrol cap on the far right-hand side for some reason, the petrol cap on a Wildcat should be located at the back of the car n the middle above the boot, unlike real E Types where it is found on the side.. Maybe it's had some custom work/build done on it. It's a shame the owner has left the car for so long, but at least it won't rust away like a real E Type would.

definitely a valiant - Plymouth or Chrysler according to market taste. The US idea of a "compact" - Ford's was the Falcon and Dodge Dart, with GMC it was the Corvair or Buick Skylark.
Still massive by British standards. I suppose the Studebaker Lark was the nearest thing to "our" size.
I'll take a closer look at it next weekend and report back which variant it is. Still massive by British standards. I suppose the Studebaker Lark was the nearest thing to "our" size.

I regularly see a white MGB coupe parked at the side of the road close to small roundabout whenever I walk that way about a mile away from where I live. Can't say if it's been left/abandoned but it always seems to be parked in the exact same place.

Also, it's strange that (when zoomed in closer on the Google streetview image) the reg number is clearly visible and ought to be blurred out; I wonder how they forgot to blur it out; a right cock-up on their behalf. The car seems to be in decent condition though.
Silver on black maybe doesn't get picked up as well?LordBretSinclair said:
Parked every day in the same place - might be " car sharers". There's a layby near me where the same cars are always in the same spot as people car share to commute. Check out the B late at night, I bet it won't be there
Ok whatever mate, I'm sure you know best. Like I said it doesn't look rundown so maybe it's used regularly. Maybe it should listed in the section of "spotted"?Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
