My brother reckons there's a barn in nearby Kiltarlity full of old cars, but I couldn't find it when I looked a couple of years ago.
Were you aware of the large stash of classics stored in a field on the Belladrum Estate?. They have all gone now but when I was there a few years back there was a Gilbern, a few Sunbeam Alpines, Granada's and various others. Last time I was there the stash was down to two Alpines which looked they were ready to go too, but hopefully for restoration. velocemitch said:

Just had a look at your photostream, which I enjoyed immensely. XplusYplusZ said:
I'm not sure if someone has posted any snaps of this place already..?
Basically, the story goes that this was an old world war 2 US military base in the Belgian Ardennes. When the war ended, the soldiers parked their cars up and hopped on their flights home.
60 years later, this is what remains..
Most of the lumps have been pilfered, and the forest has taken the rest. Incredibly, the chrome details remain as good as new.
Great place.

It's about 40 years too late to report this, it will have been scrapped or rotted away completely by now, but in the 60s my auntie had a flat in Pensax court, Worcs and in the grounds was one of these (the truck, not the bridge!) and various other military vehicles, this is the only one I can remember. My cousin and I used to play on them, you'd not be allowed to do that these days; Elf n Safety!
